Coaxsys was founded in 2002 with a simple mission: to provide reliable high speed home networking by making use of wires that already exist inside consumers' homes. At the time, the need for networking was becoming evident, but the means to implement reliable, cost-effective, and easy-to-install networking seemed far away. Coaxsys surprised the industry in early 2005 by announcing the first deployed IPTV network. Coaxsys currently has more than 50 operators and service providers as customers who have deployed TVnet—the company's advanced home network solution.
TVnet is now the leading solution for Ethernet-over-Coax networking. Telcos, both large and small, utilize Coaxsys technology to deliver IPTV, video, voice, and data throughout a home—without having to bother with a time-consuming and expensive Cat-5 rewiring process. The plug-and-play nature of TVnet products enables telcos to increase revenue per customer, reduce installation time, and remove barriers to entry in the growing IPTV industry.
Coaxsys also provides effective solutions for cable operators, specialty installers, and other service providers that need to install a high-speed IP network in customers' homes. TVnet enables high-speed networking of PCs, media servers, home security systems, home automation, and any other device with an Ethernet port. The robustness of TVnet technology makes it capable of solving even the most complex of network installations—including MDU environments.
Moving forward, Coaxsys will be working with its partners to deliver next-generation solutions for home connectivity. TVnet will be integrated into the equipment that is already installed in customers' homes, thus simplifying installations and expanding the capability of a home network. Our mission is to enable people to utilize and enjoy technology. Our home networking solutions allow people to easily connect a large and growing number of devices—including but not limited to set-top boxes, PVRs, video game consoles, PCs, and peripherals—without high installation costs and with guaranteed reliability.
